The Japanese famous tourist spot, Kiyotsu Gorge tunnel will be evolved as the beautiful and stunning artistic sightseeing place from July to the 17th September 2018.  The work is hold by the “Father of the Echigo-Tsumari Art Field”, Mr. Fram Kitagawa.  He uses with the 5 elements of planets:  Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth to connect with the design concept of the tunnel for building the natural, artistic and environmental-friendly tourist spot.  Let’s get there to see more:

Five elements of the planet:  Mental-The Invisible Bubbles

When you reach to the 2nd floor, you can see there is a large mental bubble in the middle of the tunnel.  In fact, it is a toilet which is made by the one-way mirror, so you do not need to be visible when you are at the bathroom.  And you can also enjoy the beautiful natural scenery. The large mental bubble seems to be seen easily but also hidden well, which represents the situation for getting rid of the reality while we are get involved.

Five elements of the planet:  Wood-The gathering between the sky and the river

As AKiyotsu Gorge is well-known for the spring water, there is an Ashuyu for you to enjoy.  The entire design is made of the natural wood with the conical shape.  You can place your foot in the warm spring water to wake away your tiredness.  Besides, due to the opened small hole in the top of the construction, you can see the appealing natural scene by looking up at the sky.  Try to check in there.

This part is the most popular between the tourists as it is used with the reflection from the mirror.  First, you will experience like standing in the water.  In fact, it is a mirror.  Besides, the surrounding of the tunnel is made of the stainless steel to reflect the outside beauty view, the unique cliffs and the beautiful shite clouds and sky, to contrast with the natural views.  Such a pleasant scenery, try to check in~

Don’t think we have gone to the Mars.  In fact, various of waterdrop mirrors are placed at the surrounding of the tunnel by Mr. Kitagawa.  Also, with the orange bright lighting effect, we can feel like we are living in the confusion between the reality and the surrealism while the planets are moving around in the space.。

Different lighting effects, no matter for the dark or bright or unpredictable effect matches well with different sounds.  It would be beneficial for triggering your imagination and creativity.  Let’s appreciate with such amazing tunnel~
