Last time we have been to Osaka for dancing and joining in lots of traditional festivals. Non-stopping to the summer vocation! Let’s go to Kansai together, but this time our destination is not to Osaka.
1. Yuka Dining
For cooling down, we may eat the shaved ice in Japan. Why don’t we try the traditional summer meal nearby the river, which is called “納涼床”? The high stages are built along with the river, serving food for us, including the Kaiseki, tofu dish, countryside dish or eel dish and so on. Yuka dining was orientated in the Meiji period. When the breeze blows along with the river, we might feel the cooling without the air-conditioner, such environmental-friendly~ Besides, it is also a great time for chatting with our friends under this beautiful atmosphere~
2. Jisyu Shrine
It’s the Chinese Valentine’s Day when it comes near July. Every youngsters will visit the Jisyu Shrine for the worship. The God of the Jisyu Shrine is for helping people tie with their relationships well, especially for the love relationship, which attracts tourists to come here, especially for the singles~
The paper provided by the shrine is for making wishes about your lovers. You only need to write your name and your lover’s on the paper. Also, you are pleased to add some qualities of your lovers beside your lover’s name. Then, you can hang it on the tree~
In addition to write the wishing paper, we can also test with the divine rock. In fact, there are 2 rocks in the shrine. If you can close your eyes and walk from one side to the other side of the rock, which represents your love affair will continue well~
3. Rokkosan
Although Rokkasan is famous for the night view, there is another glamour for us to explore. That is the Rokko International Music Box Museum, providing you a chance to see the American and European music boxes with different eras. Furthermore, you can make your own music box by yourself too, isn’t this fun?
You can’t have a doubt how can they keep this large organ music box to be so new and classic!
Of course, there are also some tiny and exquisite ceramic music boxes ~
As I said before, you can produce your music box from decorations, sizes and shapes of the box and even for the songs. Let’s come here to DIY with your best friends~
Rokko Garden Terrace is another fascination for travelling the Rokkosan. There are more than 1300 kinds of species of flowers for you to take photos. Now it is the blooming period for the thymus serpyllum, lamprocapnos, and the weigela. You are suggested to watch such enchanting flowers~
Sometimes we season the dishes with the thymus. I cannot believe there still are other species for the thymus and it is red one~
It looks like the bell, called lamprocapnos, grown at the higher places, like Rokkosan~
This pinky weigela is quite tiny and cute~
4. Kishu Umeboshi-kan
Talked to summer, wine is more than anything. But if you want to drink healthier, plum wine is a good choice. Wakayama is the best place for making the plum wine since it is the place where plum grows in a high rate. Kishu Umeboshi-kan, where manufactures the plum wine, can offer us a place for making our plum wine and the dried plums.
In fact, plum wine is good for our health as it can eliminate our tiredness and keep our beauty. Taking some plum wine for the souvenirs would be a nice suggestion~
