Okinawa Purple Sweet Potato Congee Method
Material (1 person):
Purple sweet potato--------------------------1-2 pieces
Oatmeal---------------------------------------2 soup spoons
White Rice------------------------------------1 soup spoon
Water------------------------------------------500 ml
Seasonings:
Little salts
Steps:
1. Pre-prepare the soaked rice with water the day before
2. Clean all the tools and ingredients
3. Boil the hot water
4. Cut the sweet potato into thin strips without peeling since the skin of it contains with lots of dietary fibers.
Tips: Clean the sweet potato enough
5. Boil the sweet potatoes and white rice into the pot for about 20-30 minutes in a high heat.Then turn to the medium heat.
Tips: It’s recommended with the opened lid and keep stirring it during cooking.
6. Finally, put the oatmeal into the pot for boiling about 20-30 minutes.
