Rural Area

1.  The Laomei of the Shimen 

Maybe you want to travel to Taipei immediately since you have seen such beautiful landscape.

After the volcanic eruption, the rock has been weathered by the sea and the eruption.  That’s why you see there are some spaces between the rocks.  If you see the rocks carefully, you will notice there is seaweed covering on the rocks because of the monsoon and the seawater, such rare thing to be seen!  The different scene of the rocks will appear after the high tide or low tide.  You may try to have a look!

When the sun goes down, we stand on the rocks and watch such beautiful sea.  It would be an attractive to Shimen~

Warmest warning: be careful when you step on the rocks since there are some plants on it.  Otherwise, you may fall down easily.  Actually, not too suggest for stepping on the seaweed because it will damage the beauty of the environment.  Want to know more?   When you arrive there, you will meet someone like tour guide to provide some knowledge about the rocks.

2.  Buyan Pavilion

Like the wallpaper in the computer.  Actually, it is real, without the artificial effect.  Lots of tourists would like to take the selfie here for capturing this special landscape~

Going up near Jiufen, you will meet the challenge of the uneven road.  Be cautious!

To enjoy the whole view from the Buyan Pavilion, we will discover the Shuangxi District and the famous waterfall area San Diao Ling.  A line between the sky and the mountain without any obstacles is the charming point of the nature. 

3.  The Elephant Trunk Rock of the Keelung

Same to Laomei, the Elephant Trunk Rock is also weathered by the sea water.  However, it is more difficult to get there since there is a hole in the middle of the rock, very dangerous!

Look like the elephant nose, right.   Not suggested to get down to the elephant nose because you may fall into sea carelessly. 

If you are interested in adventuring, you would welcome these weird rocks like the beehive. 

4.  Ba-Yien Village in Sanzhi

The view such like a drawing, right~

Located in the high place, Yang Ming Shan, and the famous hot spring “Bayan Hot Spring” makes “Ba-Yien Village” full of fog.  And that’s the reason why it is called like that.

The gorgeous scenery after the sunset and the lake contrasts well with each other.  

Walking in the “Ba-Yien Village”, you will discover the terraces.  No matter it is artificial, you still find the poetic grace. 

More than that, you will have a chance to experience the local’s live styles, such as visit the stone house…

5.  The Thousand-Island Lake in Shiding District

Taiwan is also famous for the “Thousand-Island Lake”, not only in China, but also in Shiding.  You will feel like you are hugged by thousands of islands and become a part of the nature. 

There is one more place for to visit, it is the tea garden~

Planted by the terrace and natural water, the tea must be tasty to drink.  Try to purchase some tea for the souvenirs would be a great idea!

Urban Area

1.  The Lovers Slope of the Cultural University

Getting there from the Cultural University only spends around 15 minutes.  Suggested to go at night since you will figure the shining building in the dark night, so romantic!

2.  Hiking Trail of the Xiang Shan

No need to go to the Taipei 101, why?  If you want to enjoy the family fun, you can walk along the hiking trail of Xiang Shan.  Then you can see the whole view of the Taipei.  To see the colorful clouds there, you can choose the sunset moment to get there.

Warmest warning: you will have chance to see the Sakura at March and April to walk the trail.
