1.  Golden Pavilion

If you haven’t been to the Golden Pavilion, how would you say you have been to Kyoto?  For commemorating the death of the Japanese Emperor, the Golden Pavilion was built during the period of the nobles.  It is golden and great.  There are 3 levels for the building structures in different styles: the first one is for the noble style, the second one is for the samurai style and last one is for the Buddhist style of Tang Dynasty.  The Golden Pavilion looks like floating on the lake, such grand and magnificent~

2.  Fushimi Inari-taisha

The “RED” shrine aims for the exorcism, which attracts thousand of visitors to come here.  More than that, they also hope for having a successful business in the coming years.  Besides, the famous red tori is another attraction to the visitors to take more photos.

To walk the both sides of the road is the best way for worshipping since it is believed that the middle road is for the God to pass through.  On the other hand, you will not difficult to discover a lot of fox statues are placed because it is believed that the fox is the sender of the God’s message.

You are suggested to visit the Azumamaro Shrine nearby if you will have an exam.  If you pray there, the exam will be pass successfully.  You may try if it is true~

3.  Kiyomizu-dera Temple

Kiyomizu-dera Temple is the most ancient and historical cultural temple which is well-known in Japan.  It is built along the mountain.  This temple is surrounded by lots and lots of plants and whom grows up by the 4 seasons, for example, the cherry blossoms in spring and summer, the autumn leaves in autumn and the snow in winter, etc…

The place must be visited would be the Kiyomizu-dera.  You will not believe it is made by the ancient thick trunks only!  We can tighten our hands with each other and pray.  Then, we need to hit the bell by a punch~

4.  Kifune Shrine

Many youngsters come here to visit the God of the water for making their love story well.  Due to the trees grow up together tightly, it is believed that praying for the Water God which can offer some hints for your love story. Thus, it is attracted by lots of couples and become the famous wedding venue.  If you are unmarried single, you can come here to pray for the God and which will show some hints on the water symbols to know a bit more about your love story~

“Nagashi Somen” is the food we must eat near the Kifune Shrine.  The reason is the noodles are made by the upstream river water. The sweetness of the water gives the noodles another tasty.  Also, have you tried to eat the noodles through the bamboo tube in the hot summer?

5.  Arashiyama 

To enjoy the stunning view of the river and mountain, Arashiyama is the place I want to introduce.  Long time ago, it was the living place to the nobles.  That’s why you can feel how gorgeous of the view it is.  

The mystery bamboo forest is spot I would like to recommend.  In the city, we are surrounded by the tall buildings.  But now we are around with the bamboo, so quite and cool.  When you are.  When you are walking through it, you may feel like you are the actors in the film “House of Flying Daggers.”

The little train can bring us to many places through the mountains and lakes without walking directly in a short period of time.  On the way, you can check-in the facebook or take more beautiful pictures as you want.！

Another way is to take the rickshaw to the bridge or the bamboo forest to watch the charming scenery in Kyoto.。

How can we ignore the Tenryu-ji, which is the place that the emperor has lived before?  It is a place which shows the glamourous lake and bewitching mountains too.

Tips: The Floating Lantern Festival will be held in August for wishing the passed people can go to the heaven.  Also, there will be a lantern path in December.  Although the brightened lanterns are so beautiful, the patterns of lanterns are drawn up the famous painter with different Japanese cultural pictures, which promotes the beauty of Japan.
